A Year in Review
Davante Adams and Eddie Brocks take the crown
Coach Luc Richard took on all comers this season, and had what it took to prevail. Eddie Brocks finished off 2022 with a 102.5 to 40.3 victory over Rock-Vegas Baby, giving them a 14 - 3 final record. They were led by Davante Adams, A.J. Brown, and Amon-Ra St. Brown, who collectively finished 178.9 points above their positional averages while in the starting lineup.
On the coaching front, Coach Jason Ferguson stood out as the best decision-maker this year. His lineup moves gave his squad 62.1 more points than the experts would have. That was 121.2 points better than Coach Trevor Oliveira, who were the worst coach in the league. They cost their team wins in two different games, including a week eight loss where their decisions were 31.8 points worse than the experts that week.
Coach Dan Leslie's decision-making was pretty decent this year, but it didn't matter. Kardiac Kids wound up at 3 - 13, good for the worst record in the league. Aaron Rodgers deserves a big chunk of the blame for their ugly record, as he scored 60.1 points less than the average quarterback while in the starting lineup.
Bragging Rights

Keenanyone stop Herbert? didn't have a great year, but Rosies Riders sure wouldn't believe that. Keenanyone stop Herbert? faced Rosies Riders two times, and ended up winning both games easily. The cumulative margin of victory, at 118.8 points, represents the largest spread between any two teams this year.
Tough Road
Key Stat: Average Points Scored per Game: 108.4 2K Opponents per Game: 118.1
Coach Vedran Radojevic probably got sick of having to walk uphill all year long. 2K's opponents put up 118.1 points per game during the regular season, which was more points than any other team had to deal with. 2K's 3 - 11 record looks a bit better in light of the increased degree of difficulty.
Knowing the Role
Key Stat for Capital Punishment: Average Quarterback Points Per Game: 24.6 Patrick Mahomes Points Per Game Started: 33.5
Capital Punishment leaned on Patrick Mahomes all year, as he was the league's best quarterback, scoring 532.8 points. Showtime's best game came in week one, when he put up 48.5 points in leading Capital Punishment to victory over Hoes Mad. In part because of his efforts, Capital Punishment finished the regular season with a 14 - 0 record.
Second Fiddle
Key Stat: Rock-Vegas Baby: 40.3 Eddie Brocks: 102.5
Rock-Vegas Baby came so close and yet were so far, winding up in second place. Their season closed with the sour note of a playoff loss to Eddie Brocks, but overall they did well enough to end up with an 11 - 6 record. Although they did well, Rock-Vegas Baby also benefited from the 2nd easiest schedule this year (measured by points against).
Not Coachable

Coach Oliveira have plenty of decisions to regret after their lineup choices left them as the worst gameday coach in the league. They cost their team wins in two different games, including a week eight loss where their decisions were 31.8 points worse than the experts that week. That coaching performance goes a long way towards explaining why Managed by Matt Millen wound up tied for 9th place during the regular season with a 4 - 10 record.
Everyone on the Level
Key Stat: Kardiac Kids Top 3 Players PPA: 39.2 Kardiac Kids 4-6 Players PPA: 13.4
It was all for one and one for all with Kardiac Kids this season, as they ended up with the most balanced lineup in the league. Unfortunately, this was more due to their top players not doing so well. Jordyn Brooks, Brandon Aiyuk, and Kenyan Drake posted 39.2 Points Vs Positional Average (PPA) while in the starting lineup this year, one of the worst marks in the league. Their next three best players, Graham Gano, Brandon McManus, and Drue Tranquill, finished up at +13.4 PPA.
King of the League

Afraid of Change

When faced with tough decisions, Coach Neil Norton's usual move was to just stay the course. Urine Trouble used less starters than any other team, putting only 20 different players into the lineup during the regular season. Despite that coaching performance, Urine Trouble finished up tied for the 4th best regular season record in the league at 8 - 6.
Mirror Mirror
Key Stat for DaKozyBears: Record When Christian McCaffrey Overperforms: 6 - 3 Record When Christian McCaffrey Underperforms: 2 - 5
There was no better indicator of DaKozyBears' fortunes this year than the performance of Christian McCaffrey. DaKozyBears went 6 - 3 when Christian McCaffrey hit his expectations, and 2 - 5 when he didn't. Coach David Kossatz got enough good efforts from McCaffrey to wind up at 9 - 8.
Bully
Key Stat for Hoes Mad: Record Vs. Above 0.500 Teams: 2 - 5 Record Vs. Below 0.500 Teams: 4 - 2
Hoes Mad mopped up the bottom dwellers in the league, but struggled big time against top competition. Their inability to come through in tough games doomed them to a 7 - 7 regular season record. Their disappointing record certainly cannot be blamed on a lack of good coaching as Coach Jason Ferguson was the best coach in the league.
Fun Watchin'
Key Stat for Rockland Eagles: Getting to watch Josh Allen
Rockland Eagles might not have had the most enjoyable season in the standings, but at least they got to watch Josh Allen. Allen started his season off with this all-time stiff arm and pretty much continued to run roughshod over the league the rest of the way.
Falling Down
Key Stat for Rosies Riders: Points Per Game Weeks 1 - 8: 104 Points Per Game Weeks 9 - 16: 86.5
Back in week eight, Rosies Riders were in contention to win the title, tied for 4th place. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be, as they fell all the way to being tied for 9th place to finish the season with a record of 4 - 10. The unimpressive finish was partially due to their 9th ranked running backs.
